My roles: art direction, design
Tools: Illustrator, InDesign
As lead designer on the Pricing Options for Equitable Mobility study for the Portland Bureau of Transportation, I directed the visual strategy and execution of a complex, content-rich report on equitable approaches to congestion pricing, a tactic used to mitigate worsening traffic and carbon emissions. I developed a flexible design system, including typography and iconography to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging visuals. I art direted a junior designer in creating an illustrative set of representative Portlanders, aligning to brand standards and project goals. I led the design of the 56-page report creating structured layouts to efficiently execute this large scale product and to ensure the document could be easily navigated by diverse users.
